June 2018: We want to inform the center’s friends and partners that Ashley Schachterle has resigned from her position as executive director of Healing Hearts Child Advocacy Center in order to pursue other interests. The Board of Directors is thankful for her hard work and dedication.
Ashley had the dream years ago that a child advocacy center was needed in DeSoto County. She worked tirelessly and purposefully to put together an agency that would make children safer from predators. She accomplished her goal and countless others as the CAC grew and made an incredible impact on DeSoto and Tate counties.
We wish Ashley the best in all her endeavors. During this upcoming time of transition, the board remains committed to the HHCAC’s mission of responding to child abuse with a supportive team approach that reduces trauma through advocacy, treatment, education and prevention. Thank you all for your support of Healing Hearts Child Advocacy Center.
Thank you to all the patrons of Sam's Town Casino for voting for Healing Hearts Child Advocacy Center's Christmas Tree!
We were the 1st Place winners in this years contest! Our theme this year was "Don't let our children have a blue Christmas!"
The blue decor and pinwheels represent the hope our children have that are victims of abuse. The funds awarded from this contest will ensure that all children in our community that are victims of abuse continue to receive services in 2018!
Thank you to Sam's Town for hosting this event and for your commitment to all the non-profits in our communities!
