According to Mississippi law, ALL adults must report suspected cases of child abuse and neglect. This includes doctors, police, teachers, parents, mental health professionals, child care providers, dentists, family members and friends.
If you suspect a child has been abused, you should contact your local law enforcement agency or report the allegation to the Mississippi Division of Child Protection Services at reportabuse.mdcps.ms.gov, 1.800.222.8000 or 601.432.4570.
